At the same time ProveLocal is also playing a small role in climate change mitigation by encouraging more staycations and less travel by carbon intensive means. Leisure travel is a significant source of carbon emissions and until the airlines can figure out how to make a sustainable jet fuel, every time we travel we are contributing to carbon emissions and climate change.
